Seminars/Speaking Engagements

In April 2008, William A. Denmark will be a panelist in a program sponsored by the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) titled "Benchmarking the Health of Your Company - Emerging Trends."  His topic will be "Confirming and Owner's Financial Ability to Fund a Project -- A Critical Measre to Adopt in the coming Construction Slowdown.  The GBCA is a major trade association whose members include many of the general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers operating in the Delaware Valley.

In March 2007, William A. Denmark participated as a panelist in a program sponsored by the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) titled "Benchmarking the Health of Your Company."  He discussed the practices that contribute to the success of a construction company from a legal standpoint.  The GBCA is a major trade association whose members include many of the general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers operating in the Delaware Valley.

In November 2006, William A. Denmark conducted a seminar entitled "Closely Held Businesses - Using a Buy-Sell Agreement to Protect Your Business Interest" for corporate clients of the firm and other interested parties.  He discussed the benefits for business owners in having in effect a properly crafted buy-sell agreement, and he explained the important features of such an agreement.

In June 2006, William A. Denmark was one of several attorneys participating in a forum sponsored by the General Building Contractors Association addressing "Current Legal Issues Facing the Construction Industry."  He made a presentation concerning the rising cost of building materials and what contractors can do to protect themselves against price instability in the materials markets.

In January 2003, William A. Denmark conducted a seminar entitled "Fundamentals of Estate Planning," for the membership of The Mechanical Contractors Association of Eastern Pennsylvania, Inc., a trade association comprised of mechanical contracting firms doing business in the region. Bill Denmark discussed a number of topics concerning estate planning, including the importance of having a Will, key provisions to include in a Will, use of a Living Trust as a substitute for a Will, and the value of Powers of Attorney and Living Wills. Bill Denmark devotes a portion of his practice to estate planning and administration.

In December 2000, Lorman Education Services sponsored a seminar on "Pennsylvania Construction Issues - Payment & Claims Process." Lawyers from Jacoby Donner, P.C., including William Denmark, addressed the legal issues with discussion by a panel of noted experts and from a cross-section of the construction industry.
