About Jacoby Donner
We're Your Shop. Philadelphia lawyer Myron Jacoby started the practice that is now Jacoby Donner as a one-stop legal resource for his clients. Today, we are still a small, efficient, closely knit firm, but we have an even broader reach. Based in Philadelphia, we have attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Virginia. We regularly litigate in court and handle transactions in jurisdictions across the Mid-Atlantic and up and down the East Coast. Through our affiliation with Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), our reach is international.
There are few issues that we can't handle. We are construction lawyers, business and real estate lawyers, labor and employment lawyers, and wills and estates lawyers. We're known as "Philadelphia Construction Lawyers," but that practice is only a segment of what we do. Our attorneys provide broad ranging services for a diverse client base. We represent businesses, individuals, pension and benefit funds, and trade associations. We litigate in court. We handle corporate and real estate transactions. We handle employment and labor problems. We prepare estate plans and business succession plans. We are truly your legal shop.
Our attorneys apply skill and vision to each matter. Performance in practice sets our attorneys apart. We take on the largest firms on the East Coast, argue before trial and appellate courts throughout the region, and negotiate high level deals in the bustling northeastern metropolitan areas. Before joining us, our attorneys distinguished themselves at large firms, City Law Departments, Attorney General's Offices, and in other capacities. Many of our attorneys served as law clerks for judges in the region, including in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Our attorneys have chaired Philadelphia Bar Association Committees, including the Construction Law Committee, Real Property Section, and State Civil Judicial Procedures Committee. We are active on industry associations and boards, such as the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA). Additionally, our attorneys regularly write articles in legal publications and teach seminars on a host of issues. See Our News, Publications and Seminars Pages.
We're part of the Community. Our attorneys regularly provide pro bono service to indigent clients and community non-profits. We have been recognized for honors from the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent program and the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Every year our attorneys work with Phila. VIP , the Villanova School of Law's Public Interest Department, and other legal services organizations, to take on Pro Bono cases of various types. In recent years, we have helped juveniles, prisoners, pensioners, immigrants, and others in need navigate complex legal difficulties. In addition, we regularly advise and volunteer services to non-profit entities such as the Charter High School for Architecture and Design (CHAD), the Committee of 70, the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, and others.
At all levels and in all matters, we provide high-impact, efficient, effective legal services that get results. In most respects, our trim size gives us an edge over a mega firm of several hundred lawyers.
